Tour of Coconut Island

Join Hawai‘i Audubon Society board member Norma Bustos for a tour of Moku o Lo‘e, or Coconut Island, on O‘ahu’s Windward side. HAS has arranged a special tour of Kāne‘ohe Bay’s Coconut Island (Moku o Lo‘e), a world renowned research facility operated by the University of Hawai‘i’s School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology. The two hour tour of the island and its colorful history will be followed by a picnic lunch at the Beach House where we’ll enjoy beautiful views of Windward O‘ahu. Bring sun protection, rain jacket, proper footwear (sneakers or athletic sandals), drinking water, lunch, and a camera. A $5 donation is requested. THIS TRIP IS LIMITED TO 19 PARTICIPANTS.
