Stream clean-up, Manoa-Palolo

About 300 volunteers are needed for an Adopt-A-Stream clean-up, sponsored by the city, in the Mānoa-Pālolo area. The clean-up, which is a collaboration with the Ala Wai Watershed Association and Kaimukī High School, runs from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Meet at the Mānoa-Pālolo drainage canal near the Date Street bridge. Volunteers are needed to remove litter and cut back streambank vegetation along the canal. Must be 13 years and older. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers should wear long pants, covered shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Free. Call Karen Ah Mai, 955-7882.
